Status - Ivesley Equestrian Centre is a BHS Approved Riding
School, inspected randomely every year.
Staff and Horses - resident BHS qualified instructorsand a selection
of well-schooled horses and ponies to Suite all levels.
Lessons - we teach everyone from complete beginners to experienced
riders and offer refresher courses for BHS exams.
Arena's - well lit indoor school 42m by 20m and all weather outdoor
school 64m by 24m.
Show jumping and Cross Country - there are 3 BE Cross Country
courses with a wide range of schooling fences starting at 1'6"
(0.5m) high and also show jumps.
Horse Care - we give comprehensive instruction on horse care
and stable management from owning your first horse, to competition,
horse feeding and fitness programs.
Hacking - Ivesley is fortunate to have direct access to miles
of safe, but fun hacking on bridleways through woodland and moorland
where guests can enjoy peaceful and scenic surroundings.
How to get there:
From the South (A68) - Turn off the A1 onto the (A68) - to Tow
Law. In Tow Law turn east onto the B6301 signposted Lanchester. After
3.75 miles turn right at the sign for Ivesley Equestrian Centre 1/2
mile on left.
From Durham - Take the A690. Go through the traffic lights at
Nevilles Cross, 1/2 mile down hill to the roundabout, turn right onto
the B6302 through Esh Winning, Waterhouses and Hamilton Row to T junction
at the Black Horse Inn, turn right, up the hill, and the avenue to Ivesley
is on the right.
